I love subscription services. As a mama with two kids, I like to reduce the amount of time spent at the store as often as possible. Companies sending things straight my doorstep means that’s one less thing I have to run out and grab. That was one of the perks of the Honest Company diapers and wipes bundle service and one of the main reasons I wanted to give it a try. I’ve been paying for and receiving the diaper and wipe bundle for four months at this point, and I wanted to share my experience with the service as well as with the diapers and wipes themselves.
Each Honest Company diaper bundle includes six packages of diapers and four packages of wipes. The wipes come in packs of 72 and diapers vary depending on size. My daughter is currently wearing size 3 diapers, and they come in packs of 34.
The cost for these items is $79.95 before tax and shipping is free. There often are promotions for a discount on the first bundle, but after that, the company charges you the standard cost.
If you were to purchase these same items individually from their website you would pay more than the bundle amount, in fact, $23.55 more. Online the diaper packs retail for $13.95, and the packages of wipes are $4.95. For 6 packs of diapers and 4 packs of wipes, you would pay a total of $103.50 ($83.70 for diapers and $19.80 for wipes). That does not include tax or shipping fees. If you use Honest Co products, the bundle will most definitely save you some money.
Customize Your Bundle:
The bundle is customizable in a few different ways. All of which can be done either online or through their app, which happens to be my favorite way to make changes to my account. First of all, you can choose when your bundle ships to your home. You also can set it to ship on a specific date each month. Currently, I have mine set to ship every six weeks since the diapers and wipes usually last us at least that long. I have never run out of wipes or diapers before my bundle arrived at my door and that was something I was concerned about before using this service.
Most people think of Honest Company diapers as the ones with the cute prints on them, which is true! As a bundle subscriber, you can personalize the diaper prints you receive (depending on print availability). By visiting your subscription profile through Honest Company’s website or mobile app, you can select up to six of your favorite prints that you would like included in your box. They have a few prints that are available year-round and others that are seasonal prints. You also have the choice to replace packages of regular diapers for overnight diapers, training pants and even mix and match sizes for each pack. There is also an option to add-on up to three other Honest Company items for 25% off in addition to the diapers and wipes.
Diapers and Wipes:
What makes Honest Company diapers and wipes different are the ingredients that are used (or not used) in the products. They boast that ingredients are plant-based and free of harsh chemicals and synthetics and the company is cruelty-free. They do not use things like chlorine, artificial fragrance or alcohol that can irritate a baby’s skin. You can see all of the exact ingredient lists for their products on their website if you are worried about something in particular.
I like the diapers and have not purchased another brand since I started the subscription service. I’ve used brands like Pampers, Huggies, and Luvs; all of which work of course but I have different reasons for each that make me not crazy about them. The diapers are cute, absorbent and don’t break out my daughter’s sensitive skin.
The wipes are truly my favorite. They are fragrance-free, thick and durable and easy to get out of the package with one hand. The little flip top lid helps to keep the wipes from drying out too soon. There have been a few hiccups with the production of these wipes over the past few months, and each time I have had to use something different I have been extremely disappointed. One thing to keep in mind in that since these wipes are free of preservatives you don’t want to store them in a place that is too warm. This can encourage mold to grow on the wipes over extended periods of time.
As a whole, I enjoy the idea of a subscription service, and I like the diapers and wipes themselves. I like receiving their cute box on my doorstep and not having to worry about grabbing diapers or wipes at the store. The products are great, and the service is convenient.
If you are unsure if you will like the products you could always purchase individual packs in a store to try. I’ve seen Honest Company diapers and wipes in AAFES Exchanges, Target, CVS and BabiesRUs (to name a few). Or there is also the option to sign up for a sample bundle through Honest Company or even try the full service for a month. Just keep in mind that if you sign up for the sample bundle, it will automatically sign you up for the full subscription the following month unless you cancel the service within 7 days. However, they do say they you can cancel all subscription services at any time.
If you are concerned with the way products are made, the ingredients they include or if your baby has sensitive skin it would be worth a shot to try them out. Or even if you do not and you just want to put your baby in a cute diaper, Honest Company is worth trying.
